Outdoor Wellness Group is a Veteran Climbing and Mountaineering Community that aims to connect with Veterans in the mountains to conduct safe, challenging, and professionally-guided rock climbing expeditions.
The Roaming Vet
The Roaming Vet is a community of over 60,000 Veterans, Service Members, and Dependents to connect outdoors and travel together. With Ambassadors across the globe, we aim to partner with other organizations and host group trips that expand community experiences and connections in the outdoor space.
Together
We have partnered to bring U.S. Veterans on a 5-day retreat June 23-27, 2025 in Linville Gorge, North Carolina. This retreat will consist of a climbing expedition where you will camp, the OWG will intro you to the site, climbing, gear prep, top-rope climbing, rappelling and other systems, traversing, and recovery. There will be campfires, breakfast, lunch, and dinner where you will get the opportunity to learn and truly connect with others on this expedition. Most gear will be supplied to you by Outdoor Wellness Group. You can view the full itinerary and packing list below!
